CEMETERY

In 1962, the first Sister to die in San Antonio, Texas was buried in San Fernando, but already the sisters had the intention that someday they would have their own private cemetery; and buried Sister in a vault to someday exhume her body and bring her home.  A year later the cemetery became a reality and the close to 30 Sisters are buried there.  The Sisters have now expended their one-acre cemetery to close to 25 acres which includes an Infant garden, a homeless (Tobit) garden, a grotto with a waterfall and a tomb with columbarium niches, life-size statues of the stations of the cross with niche columbariums, and indoor chapel niches.  The Sisters hope to be available to give consolation, accompaniment, and prayer for those who are experiencing a loss of a loved one.
